Training Workshops

• Alzheimer's and Dementia Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop designed for care staff working with clients who suffer from Alzheimer's and dementia. The course will give candidates an understanding of the causes and effects of the diseases and how they progress.

• Learning Disabilities Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop which is designed for people working within the field of learning disabilities and will give candidates an understanding of what constitutes a learning disability, challenging behaviour and person-centred planning.

• Palliative Care Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop designed for people caring for palliative care patients outside of a hospital or hospice setting.

• Infection Control Induction Workshop:
• This course is designed for nursing home staff or staff working within the community setting and looks at infected waste materials and the measures necessary to protect staff from infection risks outside of the hospital environment.

• Medication Awareness Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop aimed at care staff who need an awareness of medication as part of their role. This course does not qualify staff to administer medication but provides an understanding of the implications of medication handling and administration.

• Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop aimed at care staff to provide an awareness of issues surrounding abuse of vulnerable adults and the reporting mechanisms in place to protect adults who may be at risk of abuse.

• Food Hygiene Awareness Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop aimed at all individuals who are involved in food preparation and handling in any capacity. The course will give candidates an awareness of the principles of safe food preparation and handling

• Fire Safety Awareness Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop aimed at all individuals in any workplace. This course raises awareness of fire prevention and fire safety procedures and will be tailored to suit the environment in which the course is being delivered.

• Epilepsy Awareness Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop for candidates who are currently working with or candidates who may come into contact with clients who suffer from epilepsy.

• The Mental Capacity Act:
• This is a one day workshop designed to give all healthcare workers an understanding of the implications of the Mental Capacity Act and how it impacts on client care.

• Deprivation of Liberties Act:
• This is a one day workshop designed to give all healthcare workers an understanding of the implications of the Deprivation of Liberties Act and how it impacts on client care.

  All workshops - £400+VAT per course- maximum 12 candidates per workshop

We provide Manual Handling courses to all sectors of industry and specific Moving and Handling of People courses to all sectors of the health care profession; HSE approved First Aid at Work training and First Aid/Basic Life Support.  In addition we offer tailored induction training packages which can include; Manual Handling, Moving and Handling of People, Food Hygiene Awareness, Health and Safety, Infection Control, Medication Awareness and Medication Management. We can also offer specialist training in Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Risk Assessment, COSHH, Fire Safety Awareness, POVA/SOVA, Deprivation of Liberties and the Mental Capacity Act.

We have extensive experience in training staff to become trainers and teach within their own workplace; the trainer courses we offer include Manual Handling, Moving and Handling of People and First Aid. We can also tailor Train the Trainer courses in many subjects that candidates have experience and knowledge of.
