Training Workshops

• Alzheimer's and Dementia Induction Workshop:
  This is a one day workshop designed for care staff working with clients who suffer from Alzheimer's and dementia. The course will give candidates an understanding of the causes and effects of the diseases and how they progress.
• Learning Disabilities Induction Workshop:
  This is a one day workshop which is designed for people working within the field of learning disabilities and will give candidates an understanding of what constitutes a learning disability, challenging behaviour and person-centred planning.
• Palliative Care Induction Workshop:
  This is a one day workshop designed for people caring for palliative care patients outside of a hospital or hospice setting.
• Infection Control Induction Workshop:
  This course is designed for nursing home staff or staff working within the community setting and looks at infected waste materials and the measures necessary to protect staff from infection risks outside of the hospital environment.
• Medication Awareness Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop aimed at care staff who need an awareness of medication as part of their role. This course does not qualify staff to administer medication but provides an understanding of the implications of medication handling and administration.
• Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop aimed at care staff to provide an awareness of issues surrounding abuse of vulnerable adults and the reporting mechanisms in place to protect adults who may be at risk of abuse.
• Food Hygiene Awareness Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop aimed at all individuals who are involved in food preparation and handling in any capacity. The course will give candidates an awareness of the principles of safe food preparation and handling
• Managing Aggression Induction Workshop:
  The focus of this course is for staff or establishments who wish to look at introducing a zero tolerance to violence policy. The workshop looks at staff's perception of violence and aggression and shows how to draw up a policy that works for each individual establishment.
• Fire Safety Awareness Induction Workshop:
• This is a one day workshop aimed at all individuals in any workplace. This course raises awareness of fire prevention and fire safety procedures and will be tailored to suit the environment in which the course is being delivered.
• **DRUG & Alcohol Awareness Workshop
  This one or two day course is designed for Professionals or establishments
  who work with clients who present with Drug and / or Alcohol misuse. The
  one day course covers a basic introduction into the cause & effects of
  Drug & Alcohol misuse. The two day course also covers how to manage and
  offer effective support and strategies in working with people with
  substance misuse issues.
